Calendar 2012

Here are a few details for the year ahead.

We would really appreciate help from Friends (and friends of Friends!), in supporting the events at the church this year.

We are trying to raise money to clean and conserve the Edwardian stencilling in the chancel, which will look amazing when
it is done.  Please help in whatever way you can.

We hope to do even better than last year's fantastic event!

Sunday 17th June;  3 - 5pm;  Midsummer Tea Party.  Please make us a cake, and come and enjoy a chat and a cup of tea.
Folowed by the Annual Service of Evensong at 6pm.

Saturday 21st July; 2.30 - 5pm;  Brass Rubbing afternoon.  Come and make a 'rubbing' of a medieval knight in armour to take home.
There are four to choose from, and a small charge will be made for the materials used.
There will also be a demonstration by,'The Sussex Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers'.

Everyone is welome to all of our events, so come along and please tell your friends!

Christmas Carol Concert 2011

This years concert was very well attended by 127 people helped no doubt by the mild weather and growing popularity of this unique evening.

Made popular by the wonderful, 'Sussex Harmony Quire' and their traditional singing and helped a little by warming mulled wine and mince pies.

Thanks go out to all who came, helped and performed.

St Peter's Day 2011

St Peter's day Evensong Service.

On Sunday 24 July the 'Friends of St Peter's held the now annual Sevice of Evensong to celebrate St Peter's Day.

A well attended service of 85 people, helped no doubt by the wonderfully sunny day.

The service was led by the clergy and choir from the Parish church St John's, and provided us all with wonderful music and a very thoughtful sermon.

To help the Churches Conservation Trust continue with its valuable work caring for all of the beautiful buildings under its protection a collection of £219.44 was taken.

Many thanks to all who helped and came.
